Keys are stored only in this browser (localStorage). Gemini, Grok, and Pollinations calls go straight from your device to the provider. OpenAI is the one exception: its API blocks direct browser requests entirely, so those calls (and OpenAI-based voice transcription) pass through this app's own minimal serverless relay — your key rides along for that single request only and is never logged or stored anywhere but your browser. Just paste a key and Save — Soren uses it automatically, even if the dropdown below still says the free default. Hit Test beside any key to confirm it's live. Everything works without keys too (free Pollinations AI + built-in browser voice). Add as many keys as you like — name them, test them, and choose which runs the Brain and which speaks as the Voice right beside each key. Health lights: ● working · ● resting, may recover · ● dead · ● untested.
Tip: the host automatically falls back to the built-in command parser and browser voice if a key is missing or a provider errors — you never lose control of the session. Voice commands worth knowing: "stop the tone", "stop the rain", "stop everything", and "stop listening" / "shut yourself down" to turn the mic off while the sound keeps playing.
